We will be doing our very own Battle of the Bulge near Spokane!!! Germans vs Americans
This will be a single day event likely to occur in November. We will be introducing WWII reenacting to a lot of new people, so experience is not required, neither is full gear. Just bring what you got and we will help make up the difference.
More on this soon. Please post or PM if you are interested.

Alright everyone. We are looking for the weekend of November 15 and the 16th. The event will actually take place on the 16th. We are checking to see if it is possible if people would like to stay Saturday night. Have a campout ;D
No specific unit. Bring what ever you have. This is more of a chance to get together with local people, talk about WWII and maybe about forming our on local group to do local events, etc. So authenticity standards won't be strictly followed as not everyone may have the proper gear. We may not have rifles to loan out as not all of us have extras.
Keep firing away if you have questions. We will keep you guys informed if things change.
Thanks!

Where are you planning on holding this event? Private land? NF? I may be interested. Kevan Bowen

It will be on private land near Loon Lake, about 20 min north of Spokane.
Also this is not a public event, so no spectators, everyone should participate somehow.
We probably have enough GI stuff to go around but may be short on German stuff.

Event dates have been verified:
November 15-16 Battles to take place on Sunday the 16 as early as people wake up or arrive You have the option of camping out Saturday night. Nick will set up his kick ass 1944 US Marine wall tent and there should be room for everyone.
The event will take place on private property near Loon Lake, 20-30 minutes north of Spokane. Directions will be given out to people by personal message or email.
This is not a public event so there will be no spectators.
Bring as much period equipment as you have and we will do our best to help you out.

Would the property owner have any concerns if I brought my jeep? Any roads? How large of an area are we talking? Is there room to turn around with my trailer? Thanks, Kevan

Hello Kevan,
The jeep should not be a problem but we are checking. The gentleman that is in contact with the property owner is out of town for the week. He also has a jeep so I doubt there will be problems. We will keep you guys posted of upcoming information.

How are we stacked as far as forces? Sean mentioned that it was lopsided towards the US so I am going to make an attempt to go German. It will be cold but I doubt if there's going to be snow. The Army Surplus on Division has Swiss made gray-green wool pants. Would these be acceptable replacement for the real deal German? Also, would modern Flecktarn pattern be acceptable as M44/43 style German camo? If so, except for the rifle, I should have a reasonable facsimile. Hopefully I can have a rifle by then also...fingers crossed.
How early on Sunday are things going to jump off?

Oh hey, has an invitation been sent down to the reenactors in Oregon? It would be cool to get some of them up here too.

Oh hey, has an invitation been sent down to the reenactors in Oregon? It would be cool to get some of them up here too. Are there some near Spokane? I mentioned the event to a few of the guys on the other side of the cascades and it is just too far for a single day. If this goes well I would like to propose a second battle early next year. I can partially equip one and possibly two Germans (not weapons though). I have a great coat and a zehltban that can be worn over your clothes, and when combined with some black boots and gray, green, or brown wool pants you will look almost like the real thing. Does anyone have a German helmet that can be used? Klaus
