Don't worry if you are short of equipment/weapons at an event like that. You just need to notify the unit commander and he will arrange for loaners.

Do you know what other US units will be there? Or will it just be Airborne units?

For our "Operation Grenade" it is February 6-7, 2009, but I am still waiting for information on location.
However, I plan on attending an official event "Market Garden: Holland 1944" on February 20-22, 2009. I will be driving from Spokane to the event location on Friday, and will be back on Sunday. If anyone one wants to go let me know as soon as possible so a seat is reserved.

For our "Operation Grenade" it is February 6-7, 2009, but I am still waiting for information on location. Klaus We could do this at my ranch, but with the amount of snow I have it's going to be restrictive. Of course Spokane county has as much snow as we do......... I need a bulldozer to provide tent sites, open roads and trails. BUT! If we want to do a more urban setting........we could approach Rande at Camp Comia? It's in Cheney and his place has been beat down by airsofters. Let me know ASAP if your interested. Wade

OK, back to Operation Grenade. Who is planning on coming to this? I believe we will probably be playing at the same location as our last event, near Loon Lake. Its also on a Saturday this time.

Will put myself and my son down for a definite "maybe" leaning towards "hell yes!". Any chance .30 Carbine blanks will be available this time?
There's going to be a helluva lot of snow up there that may make tromping around the sticks tricky. This is Nick or Blake's place, right? How's it look up there?
Any idea of the German/US ratio this time out?

Always more Americans than Germans. But I got me and Otto again, except this time he will have his own uniform and I can loan the great coat to another Soldaten should one volunteer.

Alex and I could probably get away with wearing our Flecktarn again. I have German winter camo but its modern, not WW2. Its the white with green pine pattern, so not sure how funky it would be with all the authentic stuff.
Going to make some ersatz belt loops for the Y straps that I have to make it appear a bit more correct. For rifles, I can bring the Carbine and Garand again if Mausers are in short supply. Hopefully I can pick up a couple more items also.
We really need some MP-40s and a MG-42....

Are we just going to skirmish in this or will there be tactical objectives for both sides? Obviously we're not going to have a river to cross (although that would be cool to have an isolated bridge someplace to do this on).
