The M1 adaptor is the same I just got from Fulton Armory. I paid 17.95 with shipping for it.

I didn't think the k98 needed a blank adapter. 7.92mm blanks are about $15 for a 50, which usually is enough for four days of battles.

Carbine auction is gone...nuts!
Anyhow, checking out some of the companies that sell blanks on the net, I noted that they listed apeture sizes for use with the blanks. How critical is this for semi-autos?
Yeah, I know the Mauser won't need an adapter. Keeping my eyes peeled for a junker that I can recondition. Hoping to find something at the gunshow coming up. I also work at a gunshop, so chances are good I'll be able to get something for wholesale.

HA! You know way more about it than I do. I still don't have a rifle of my very own.

Hi Klaus, I have a couple K98's I would be willing to part with, They both are fairly nice ones, One of them has had the Nazi markings removed, the other has nice markings, and is a 1937 model, I also have a matching 37 bayonet and cartridge boxes. you can email me privately if your interested. Yeah. My uncle originally brought it back from Germany just after the war ended. At some point after that the stock was cut and shaped into a civilianized "sporter" version and a scope mounted. All the Nazi proofs are still on it and the numbers match, but all the military hardware and such is now gone. Its a tack driver and the rifle I learned to shoot on, but its no good for military reenactment now.

Hey guys, I lost my info of where to buy blanks. I checked Fulton and nothing came up. What was the other company you guys talked about?

Fulton has them, it took me forever to find them on their site. I'll dig up my info and send you the item number for the M1.

It took me awhile to find it. The part number is FA-M1-600-102 for $9.95 plus $8.00 shipping or if you slide all the way down to the ACCESSORIES, TOOLS & GAUGES section under the M1 Garand it is there with a picture of it. Their website is not the best to navigate when you are looking for something.

My bad, sorry about that I just ordered through Atlantic Wall Blanks. www.atlanticwallblanks.com/Robb is a great guy. For the M1 garand it is $28.00 for 100 rounds plus shipping (About $13.00.) He is back east but compared to Swanson (who is on the west coast) you will pay about $45-$50 for 100 rounds. I don't know what the website is for swanson blanks, just do a search. Another company is Gopher munition works. Don't know anything about them though. sites.google.com/site/gophermunitionsworks/
