The year is 1948 , the place is Buenos Aires Harbor in Argentina , the Italian Liner Andrea C has just arrived , on board is a very special passenger , he has come at the request of the President of Argentina , Juan Peron.
Peron wants to set up a modern Air Force for Argentina , equal to the United States.
A few days later a plane arrives at Aeroparque Airport in Buenos Aires , another important passenger is on this plane , he will design modern jets for Peron.
3 years later , 1951 , another plane arrives at the Aeroparque Airport , this time there are 2 very important passengers on board.
For the past 3 years the passenger from the Andrea C has been working very hard to make the AAF(Argentine Air Force) the best in Latin America , he has been successful , now with his friends just arriving they will make the AAF even better.
Here is a photo of the 3 friends
They are Werner Baumbach (bomber commander), Hans U. Rudel (the Great Pilot of the STUKAS), and Adolf Galland(Fighter Ace,and the passenger from the Andrea C)
Now remember the passenger from the plane that landed in '48?
It was the famous aircraft designer, Professor Kurt Tank, who made several modern jet fighters for Argentina.
Galland would be in Argentina from 1948 until 1955 , flying Gloster Meteors and teaching the new AAF pilots how to fly and fight in a modern Jet War, he was allowed to wear his Knights Cross with his AAF uniform
After Werner Baumbach had time to get settled in in Argentina , he was given command of Argentina's Long Range Bomber Force , oddly enough he would have command of these planes
Galland would sometimes engage the bomber formations in his Meteor
This is Gallands Meteor being fueled for a training mission

Professor Kurt Tank in the meantime designed this Fighter for Argentina
