Going to pester you guys with some more questions pertaining to our upcoming event, please be patient! LOL. I am getting pretty excited as this is going to be mine and my son's first "official" event that we're to participate in. 1. We won't be "fighting" with our packs, correct? They'll basically be dumped at our base camp and we'll take ammo only? 2. If the above is correct, then what type of stuff do you actually put in your packs and what stuff do you just set up at base camp? I've got an ammo can to put our food in and a duffle bag for my other junk like wool blankets, extra gear, etc. 3. 3 rds to take down a running target, correct? 4. Only explosives will take out a bunker or an entrenched position? 5. Naturally bushes offer concealment but no cover, is there a rule that allows hitting a target in this situation? 6. In the same vein as the above question, an 8mm or 30/06 round will penetrate a tree trunk up to 12" in diameter, is this taken into consideration in our type of skirmish? There's more...but I think I will spare you at the moment... Go 1st ID![/tt]

I will answer these the best I can: 1. You can if you want to have your pack. That is up to you. You will need to pack your lunch with you so take the pack and can leave it in the jeeps. 2. The pack was designed to carry your stuff in, foodm extra clothing and such. Since we will not be 'staying' in the field, you can leave your pack or whatever with the vehicles so that way you are lighter on foot during the battles. 3. Yes three rounds should take down a running target. 4. Yes, grenades will have to do this round. 5. If you are behind a bush and see some one shoot at you, you are dead. 6. Usually if you can put yourself completely behind and tree 12" or bigger in diameter, we will call it good cover. I don't want to see someone trying to hid behind a little tiny tree when most of their body is exposed and try and call that cover! Keep shooting the questions! ;D

Except for me, my blanks curve around trees.

I'll be sure to have at least two trees between us then.
Hey, have you figured out if you're going to be able to function after your hernia fixing gig?

Helmet camo nets okay but no scrim for 1ID, correct? Are we going to have a supply of grenades...of some type?

No scrim. No, you must supply your own grenades. It is either Rite Aid or Walgreens that has the plastic grenades for a few bucks. They work great. Just put some dirt/sand in them and they are good to go and if they get lost, you are not out that much money.
