Slowly getting my son and I's kit together. We finally got wool shirts on the way which would have left us with rough out boots to eventually get. That is until I examined my son's helmet. Not sure of the nationality, but after studying the subject for as long as I have now, I see its a pretty whacked item. Watching some auctions so hopefully I can get something closer to the mark before our Sept. event.

Do you guys have leggings yet? If so, you can wear them over the jump boots you have for the time being.

Yes we both have leggings and I have that one set of low boots that I made from my old combat boots. My son does have a pair of jump boots although they are black. If leggings will work over them I will make them brown! Also, will it be okay to mix pattern one HBTs with pattern two? When I ordered our HBTs ATF was out of the second patten pants and so I got the first pattern for both of us and then second pattern jackets. I have an M41 that I plan on wearing with the first pattern trousers.

Well as Murphy's Law would have it, the shirt I ordered fits in the chest but rests just below my elbow in the arms.
Sigh....

Off of eBay. I assumed that a 46R would be large enough to fit the arms but that wasn't the case. My son has one on the way also from eBay but considering the 46R fits him good I doubt the second one will fit either of us. We'll see. If not I will have at least one shirt for sale.
Looks like my son will need a helmet loaner for the event if that can be managed. I am pretty strapped on cash at the moment so I doubt if I will be able to find one for a decent price before then.
