Army Group 1944 will be on display at SkyFest 2010. We will be setting up a large display for the public. This is a great opportunity for the reenactors of the Inland PNW to make themselves known. If you would like to participate in the display, please contact one of the units (1st ID, 101st AB or 352 ID). If you just want to come and see the display, please be sure to say hi. The event is free and open to everyone. Klaus www.352id.com

Yep, we have had some meetings with them and they are finalizing the last few details. We have a large grassy area to setup in next to one of the hangers. They are very excited to have us out there. Specific details will be given to the units for those that will be part of the display.

I will be attending the Saturday portion of the event in my Airborne kit. Very doubtful if I can do Sunday also so I will not commit to that day yet.
Sean, are you and your boys going as German?

I am collecting a list of names and contact information for the air show. This is necessary in order for each of us to secure passage through the front gate. Please get with one of the units and get your name on the roster ASAP. If you don't belong to one of those units you can PM me too.

Any details on where we meet? What time? I know the rifles have to have their bolts removed, but do they have to be within cases for transport onto the base? Do we need to check in with the Air Force? If so, where? Etc....

Good questions. I will have a phone conversation with them Monday about the details of carrying weapons onto base.

Not sure about Fairchild AFB rules , but for McChord AFB whenever we do displays or Airshows all they require is for us to have them in hard weapon cases with locks if we are staying over night , Serial numbers are written down by MP's in case the weapons go missing while on base , Firing pins can be removed or left in place , that's up to the weapon owner's choice , we keep them on if the weapons are to be used to demonstrate how they fire. NO LIVE AMMO is their main rule .

Not going to be able to make it, guys. My boss called me this morning and needs me to work all day Saturday, guess we're short several people. Making it out Sunday is a very remote possibility, but I really doubt it. Sorry all.....

I have no concerns or worries about the tactical getting canceled beyond an act of god.
