Army Group 1944 & the Western Military Historical Association presents, the 5th annual, Ost West Kampf - East Meets West, end of the war campaign. The largest event in the Pacific Northwest, this is not to be missed. The event will take place on the US National Guard facility, Camp Rilea Oregon. Features of this event include: - All out tactical battle of American, British and Soviet forces against all available Axis units (SS, Wehrmacht, FJ, GJ, etc)
- High immersion all weekend long
- Period Military Barracks
- Military Operations in an Urban Environment (MOUT Village battle)!
- Trucks, jeeps, motorcycles and armored vehicles
- End of the year all hands Christmas Party
- Special visit by Allied and Axis veterans
Where: Camp Rilea, Warrenton, Oregon When: December 10-12 Theme: 1945 end of the war Cost: TBD This is a private tactical event open to members of Army Group 1944, the WMHS and their guests. If you would like to attend please contact Army Group Headquarters or one of the member units.

Features include: * The last push to win the war by American, British and French forces in the West and the Soviet Red Army in the East. * High immersion all weekend long * Period American, British and Soviet Military Barracks * Urban tactical combat in a German village * All available Allied Armored vehicles, trucks, jeeps and aircraft are at your disposal * Victory in Europe Christmas Party * Special visit by WWII Allied veterans Where: Camp Rilea, Warrenton, Oregon When: December 10-12, 2010 Cost: $40 April 25, 1945, was the date Soviet and American troops met at the River Elbe, near Torgau in Germany, marking an important step toward the end of the World War II in Europe. The first contact was made between patrols near Strehla, when First Lieutenant Albert Kotzebue crossed the River Elbe in a boat with three men of an intelligence and reconnaissance platoon. On the east bank, they met forward elements of a Soviet Guards-rifle-regiment of the First Ukrainian Front under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Gardiev. The 1st Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne will be fighting to end the war with other allied forces including other American Divisions, our British Allies and the Communist Red Army. Help us defeat the Germans before the Soviets. Join us in battle, please contact the 1st Infantry Division or the 101st Airborne Division here.

In this battle we will be portraying the remnants of the 352 Volksgrenadier Division, a heavily armed infantry formation designed to increase combat effectiveness and firepower but with a reduction in manpower.
