Guys, I am watching an ebay auction for a "cotton" khaki serviceman's shirt that is supposedly WW2. The patches appear to be WW2 Army Air Corps but I am kind of thrown by the cotton portion. Did they make cotton shirts and were grunts ever issued them or were they strictly an Air Corps issue?

i have a couple khaki uniforms with stripes on them, the air corps mainly used them because most of the bases were located in tropical areas in the US on the home front (Florida, Phoenix, ect) and wool in 104' temperature doesn't mix, also if you look at some old photos of guys in their class a uniforms some are wearing khaki shirts underneath.
