I've seen weapons in parades before, perhaps they were demilled drill rifles only. Perhaps we can get permission if they're inspected by a parade official?

A couple of options you guys could suggest to the parade organizers are the use of Airsoft Weapons or the removal of the firing pins from Real Steel weapons.

I really hope they will make an exception to the rule this once. they have another rule i find to be really stupid and that is "no parade participant can hand out or throw any items to crowd members" so no candy to kids  |

Last summer I took my jeep to a local car show, had a leather scabbard with just a stock sticking out, looked real as heck, sure got some strange looks from the local constables, but they weren't sure how to deal with it, so they left me alone, figuring I was a whacko dressed in hbt's. I guess what saved me was my wife dressed in her nurse dress uniform. Anyway.........something to think about if you guys are riding in vehicles.

For the parade, i suggest everyone do parade laces and parade lace ties for the occasion, if anyone needs help it is a little complicated. WWII style is white para cord with a unique style of lacing, looks really sharp in the end. =)
