Heard back finally. Mr. Guidotti is turning me over to another Park Ranger, but because I am in the middle of getting files and stuff transferred from my back up computer to my main one, I haven't had a chance to connect with this guy yet. I doubt highly if this weekend is going to happen. I am jammed up on Sunday but I will report back about Saturday. Will post as soon as I get some details.

What time this weekend would we be meeting? I would love to go and get involved but i do have work Saturday. So please let me know time and place and if I can even come! =)

I think we can scrub the weekend gig, but if anything changes I will post here pronto.
Now if you guys want, we can still meet at the new area and I can show you guys around. One thing I have to establish with the rangers is if there are any particular areas they do not want us to operate in. Until I have that info its a little tricky to plan. I can sure as heck give you guys a tour if you want to do that.

I don't know guys, the 21st isn't looking very promising either. I've yet to hear from our Ranger contact even after two emails. Stay tuned, I guess.

Tomorrow is a bust as far as meeting with the park ranger as he never got back to me. If he contacts me some time tonight, I will post ASAP. Otherwise I can just meet with him and get some questions answered.
What I am going to find out is:
-Are there areas of the park where they absolutely do not want us to operate.
-Where can we assemble.
-Can we use era vehicles.
-Will we have overnight privelages.
-Can we operate and have battles at night.
-Where do we get out permit and does that permit only cover a specific event.
-How soon in advance must we have a permit.
Was also wondering if we've gotten any farther on the insurance angle?

I have insurance paperwork. Need to do some research and should have some answers soon on that.
Also:
- are there some kind of facilities on the camp, i.e. barracks for doing overnight that may be available and restrooms.
- Drinkable water
- Use of smoke
- use of flares (red is usually a no-no for example)

[glow=red,2,300]Tomorrow at 10am![/glow] Just heard from Ranger Vierra. I am going to assume that he'll be at the park entrance just south of the 7 Mile Bridge on the west bank of the river, hopefully this will be verified before tomorrow.
I beleive there are a couple of outhouses near the river road, but nothing else. There may be water at those points also, but I've never seen or used either.
