This is my 1945 MB in restoration. Check it out. Once it is finished it will become part of the Military Equipment Collectors Living History Group. Cannot wait to get it out and dirty once I'm done. thor.prohosting.com/hopp1945/1945mb425051.htm

It was a great day at the shop today. I started working on my jeep again!!! ;D ;D I pulled the driver side rear quarter panel. Now I need to replace a few cancer spots and put the new panel on. I'll throw some pictures up later.

Here are a few pics of what I did today: Overview of the panel I will be pulling. Close up of drilling the spot welds out. Some of the cancer on the driver side inside. Panel off with new panel sitting below. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to cut the old tool box out and fix the rusted out spot on the front of the fender so i can get the new panel installed.

Oh damn, you got a lot of work ahead of you. Wish I knew something about rebuilding cars.

I think Doc should refer to it as a "Rust-oration". Maybe 10-15 more years, right Doc? Klaus

Nick, how much are you thinking you'll be putting into this? I'm crazy even to entertain the thought of perhaps doing a restoration, but perhaps the cost involved will chase me away. LOL.

Well I have owned this for 10 years now so the cost has been spread out! I quit keeping track years ago on the cost. Once I'm done I'll add up the bills and see what the total is. I figure I have about 3-4 thousand into it. It cost me $1,000 to get and about another 300-400 to get home. If you can find one that runs and don't really care how good it looks, you can put very little into it. Me. I want it to look good and have the correct stuff so the price goes up. Still for what I have into it, that is still cheap for a good resto. Money has always been in issue for me. So I save and buy stuff here and there for it. That is one reason why it has taken so long to do.
