READ THIS FIRST!
If you intend on picking up some items for reenacting please read this first! It will save you money, time, and a headache.
One of our goals is to meet or exceed the normal historical accuracy standards of the PNWHG of 95% or higher. We also want to portray the average, and not the exception. At our last event I am guessing we were in the 40-50% accuracy range.
This is very important to us for many reasons. Paying little attention to this will give us a very negative opinion/reaction from the public and potential new recruits, and will make our events less entertaining. It also does disservice to the honor of those whose memory we invoke, and the men who go out of their way, and at great expense, to create fun and rewarding events for you (Jimmy and his Jeep or Doc with is 1944 Tent).
We highly recommend that you make your purchase with care and forethought. In some instances a post war item can be gotten that is perfectly acceptable, but in many it is not. Some reproductions look great and hold up well on the field, but others less so. Some original items are perfectly acceptable, but many are too fragile, valuable, or hard to obtain.
Before making any purchase think:
So how do you know if what you are about to purchase meets the requirement?
The answer is easy: JUST ASK
It will save you lots of MONEY, TIME, and PAIN!

Before making any purchase think:
- Did I talk this over with another reenactor?
- Am I paying too much?
- Am I paying too little?
- Is this appropriate for the period?
- Is this appropriate for the impression I am trying to portray?
- Is this item rarely or never worn in the field?
- Is this on my list of must haves?
So how do you know if what you are about to purchase meets the requirement?
