Ciao a tutti! I just joined and thought I should introduce myself. I’ve known about this forum for a little while. I wasn’t sure if I could join, as I’m more towards the coast than inland. After speaking with Klaus, he said it was ok, so I hope no one here has any geographical bias towards me! I started reenacting WWII in 2001 as a German (Heer) Panzergenadier, then Infanterist and occasionally as a Sanitäter. After a while I got kind of bored with doing German, but just the reenacting aspect: I’m still very much interested in the history. In 2008 I started reenacting Italian. After spending a lot of time hanging out with a good friend (and former German reenactor) who is very much in to Italy during the war and hearing him talk incessantly about it, I decided to give it shot. …and that’s about it up till now. Although I live a bit away, I hope to be able to come out to an Army Group 44 event in the future. I already know a few of you from reenactments in Oregon and I look forward to getting to know the rest of you. I noticed the public event coming up this weekend; I hope you guys get a good public turnout and plenty of recruits! Cordialità! Frederico

Welcome. I probably met you at Biak last year. There are only two Italians after all. Thank you "Mr. Sparkle"! I imagine we probably did meet at Biak. I was one of the two Italians there back in Sept. 2008 and in Sept. 2009 I was the only Italian, or "token Italian" if you will. Although, not knowing what you look like, I can't say for certain.

I'm in the middle of the homepage pic. Ah, yes, now I remember you. I forgot your name, so I just remember you as "Nice 1st ID guy with mustache". I know, it's bit silly and vague. I also saw you early this year at the Camp Rilea RPS event. I was in my German uniform when we came over to the Allied barracks, but I was only at the event for Saturday evening. You may remember me as the "younger, handsome looking Italian" in case you get one of us mixed up. ;D And as Klaus stated above, I believe you also met one of my beers too, but it's no biggie. Apparently I "bogart" my beer and smokes, so I probably ought to share more often anyway. I thought it had been one of the Germans ...somehow I feel better knowing it was an americano who took it.
