Not much chatter on the boards. Any events upcoming? Are we waiting for the Fall to plan our Camp Seven Mile event? Any reports on the alternate area in Idaho?

I feel your pain. I've got a good airborne kit put together and an adequate infantry and just dying to put them to use. I was kind of hoping the deal with Riverside State Park to use Camp Seven Mile would allow us to have at least small private events a little more often. Now that we're covered under RPS, I'd like to get something going during these dry inactive periods.

I can think of 2 maybe 3 allies. Maybe an additional opponent if there's loner gear

We could contact those reenactors we (you guys mostly) know of around the area and invite them if our own roster here falls short. I realise Germans would be hard to come by, but given enough advance notice, we could get at least a small squad together couldn't we (you)? Heck, the Germans were outnumbered most of the time during the latter years of the war anyhow. LOL. Also, how many interested parties do you think we would generate during one or two events? 7 Mile is public, especially during the summer months, we WILL be noticed and draw some attention. Start small...grow big!

the airshow is the method to really get some attention. Of the thousands of people that would have to pass by, how many of them would actually be willing to collect all that stuff and actually come out?

It only takes a few here and a few there. Heck, how did I hook up with you guys? Common interest draws like minds together.
I am kind of getting the vibe that planning local private events has gone by the wayside. I certianly hope that is not the case.

The problem is, if it is not on private land, we have to have insurance. The RPS schedule is already planned for 2010 so we can't do anything this year. So we need to plan this into their schedule for next year. Until we can find private land to use, we are S.O.L. on doing any kind of private event.

So we have to schedule with RPS a year out in order to be covered by their insurance unless it is private land. So how many private events would they likely let us have? What about that land in Idaho that we were discussing last meeting?

Kinda lame that I wont be able to do an event till next year :/ worst part is I dont know if I will be here after the summer. I would also think that the more events we do the more motivated people might be in joining.

Guys, The event in June is coming up pretty fast, For the 3rd AD this is going to be one of our max effort events, so hopefully there will be a good turn out. I should have room for 3 or 4 guys extra, so if anyone would like a ride, let me know, you would only need to get to Moses Lake. Then in August the Yakima event is fairly close to you guys, there again there is a high possibility that some of you guys could ride with me. Thanks, Kevan

Kevan, can you give some more info on the June event? Will give me a chance to use my infantry kit.
Ranger, there is always a chance that some private land may come open, which is what I am hoping.
