I should know soon if I can go, will let you guys know ASAP. Spoke with Jimmy briefly this weekend, he was out of town as his mother passed away. I think he is back today or tomorrow. Will get an answer from him soon.
Doc, what sort of tentage can we expect? I have a 'Nam pup tent, I think Jimmy does too so we can shelter ourselves if necessary.

So do the different groups bivouc together in one area, or do they seperate themselves by units?

depends on the event. Sometimes we all camp together, sometimes into an Axis and Allied camp, and sometimes as individual units. At this event the 272 will be dug in, so expect an artillery bombardment on your tents.

There should be a squad tent for the allied units. But bring the pups just in case.

If you have a cot, bring it plus wool blankets and sleeping bag. Newer sleeping bags are fine, just make sure you have a wool blanket to cover it with.

rgr that. I have a M1949 mountian bag that resembles one of the WW2 types that Ed (congofal) posted pics of. Think my bro-in-law may have an era cot.

Going to be ordering my jump uniform this weekend. Only thing that won't be right will be the boots. The jump boots you gave me Nick actually fit my son better than me, I am going to need a size bigger. Bruce posted that he had a pair of 11s for sale but so far I've not heard from him if he still has them or not. I am not going to be barred from the event because the boots aren't correct, am I?

I'll make sure to get some pics when Jimmy gets it home. Too bad it's not a true AFV but a track is a track and it will be great to have. It still runs but needs some engine and tranny work and is missing a portion of the cab

The boots could be a problem... The basics of the uniform are a must. I emailed a couple of guys in regards to your question but no answers yet. Have you tried emailing Bruce directly? That is usaully the best way to get a hold of him.

Rgr, will give that a try.
I guess it would be pertinent to ask what the "basics" entail. I'd be ordering the uniform from ATF. I've got authentic "paratrooper" M36 suspenders and a musette bag rigged as a backpack on an OD green M1 Garand cartridge belt. A repro canteen and cover, M1928 backpack and authentic shovel with cover. Helmet is standard GI that I brought home from the Army with me, as is the liner. Was going to ask someone what I needed to "mod" this setup to look more authentic as far as the straps.
