I use KIWI brand CORDOVAN shoe polish in bot my U.S. Jump boots , my Infantry service shoes and on my FJ Jump Boots. To water proof them i first use Saddle Soap , then a layer of Mink Oil , it works great i have done Winter events as both AMI and FJ in deep snow and my feet have always stayed dry.

Mink oil is expensive isn't it? How does it compare to something like Sno-Seal?

Mink Oil can be pricey , but it protects leather so good. Sno-Seal works good as well.

So would Sno Seal be used with actual polish or instead of?
