Can anyone point me in the direction of blank-firing US rifles; such as, M1 Garand, Carbine, or Thompson....
Thanks

May be easier and cheaper to buy a real one and get a blank adapter. LOL. Then you have the added benefit of being able to practice your marksmanship with these great guns too.

You can get a fully auto Thompson blank fire only non-gun here www.militaryprecision.us/Otherwise, you just do what Redeye says, get the real deal and then you just blank adapt it.

Hey Ranger, this is your first post, who are you and how did you find us? Interested in reenacting?

NICE!
But, why wait? We have an event coming up in February. What unit are you joining? What impression are the two of you most interested in?

That's why all units have loaner gear. Both Doc and Bruce are planning on attending the event in Feb. I don't see any reason why you couldn't go as well.

I just spoke to Bruce and he will not be able to attend. If you would like to go, please let me know asap. Send me an email and we can discuss further. I will have to see if some one in the unit can have a loaner weapon for use.

www.wwiiguns.com/ this is a good website for blank only weapons, another way to do it would be to go to gunbroker.com and look around there i got my WWII M1 Garand for $450. IMO i would buy a real gun, seeing how they never lose their value and only go up in value too. you can always sell it for a profit to a collector or pawn it off. Blank weapons dont have as large of a market value. plus m1 garand blank adaports are only $15

These are cap fireing guns, not blank fireing. No one uses these at events, they are not loud enough and will rust and break.

Welcome Ranger. You're kind of catching our group in a kind of flux. I've been with the group for about a little over a year now and haven't officially joined a unit yet. I'm going US. Two of the guys of the group are with the 1st ID, but there may be a chance of a 3rd AD or 82nd AB starting up in this area. Decisions, decisions.

Sorry Klaus, found us a couple more GIs. Guess you'll just have to get yourself another MG to even things out. If Ranger and bro attend the next event they can borrow some of my gear and a weapon or two. I have both AB uniforms now too.
-temporarily without internet at home, so if you need to contact me in a timely fashion have Klaus or Doc call me.

Blake, this may be repetitive, but are you and Jimmy sticking with 1 ID or going airborne?
