All I would need to know is who is doing what. If we're going to form a Spokane based unit, this would be my first choice. If not, it would be cool if the guys local to this area could decide on a single unit to go to; 1 ID, 3 AD, it wouldn't really matter to me, just as long as we're all together.
Making a local unit would probably be the most difficult, obviously, because everyone may want to do something different. As long as I can use the equipment I have it really wouldn't matter what patch I wear! Yes I am easy, and cheap, (frugal?) LOL.
How 'bout it boys?

Well I won't know for sure what I'm doing until after this next event. If the 82nd folds then I'm looking for a new home. So the only other option is to join the 3rd AD or possibly form a new unit. At this time everything is up in the air. If I do form a new unit it will be under the RPS so Redeye once you pay the fee to join the RPS, it doesn't matter which unit you do. I'm doing som research for a new unit. Part of it is we want to do a mechanic and/or supply unit as my buddy has the large trucks plus jeeps and tools/equipment to do a mechanic. So for LH events we would want to do something along that line but for tacticals we would like to be able to use the vehicles and equipment too. So the AD unit would be a possiblity or So we will see.

Mechanics and supply certianly do sound boring...LOL, armor would definitely be more my tastes.
Yep, this is going to get complicated, me thinks.
Blake, are you and Jimmy staying with 1 ID?

They have no plans of leaving the 1st ID. But I bet they will keep attending events with me no matter what unit I'm in.

Nick, if the 82nd folds up, why not just join up with the 1 ID? Then we can all be in the same section. Or perhaps start our own 82nd, Blake and Jimmy can go either way.

No offense to the 1st ID but I have no interest in joining them, same as 101. Both units are over done in the reenacting world. I would like to see something else. There were so many other units that fought in the war that nobody knows about. When people think of D-day they think of the 101st and the 1st ID. Hello there were so many other units that stormed the beaches. Just my pet peeve.

How about the 17th ABD or the 13th ABD (if you wish to stick with ABD) that would be pretty neat, more units over shadowed by the 82nd and 101st IMO, always thought their patch was really neat looking.

Nick, I see your point. I guess I'll wait until the water settles. LOL.

Have we had any movement (besides the bowel type) on this subject? Spring is right around the corner...we need to get some action going up here.
