Met with Ranger Dan King and Ranger Gary Vierra today and got things solidified. We are cleared for over night ops, gate access, and a assembly area. I also secured the prime area of the whole park for our ops.
We're allowed smoke and explosive reports up to a .50 cal, sorry, no artillery sims.
Night engagements will have to be limited to around 7:30pm during winter months, pretty much nixed during summer. Jeeps are okay for now, will have to ease them into Halftracks and such, LOL. I showed them my version of our signage and they approved.
We need to firm our January event date quick so I can get the permit pack from Ranger King. The military still uses the area but Ranger Vierra stated plainly that their ops do not trump ours if we have our permit and dates arranged first.
Insurance has to be taken care of, as well as how we're going to pay for the permits and such. Nick, were you working on that? How are we coming on the new web site? I am also going to work up some business cards now that I have graphics capability once again. I have some cool ideas for logos unless one has already been put together. Am also going to start on making maps.
I am pumped! They also showed some enthusiasm at my presentation, which is very good.
