Klaus and his Wehrmarcht hordes appear to be pretty well organized. I am curious as to the organisation of us GI grunts in the Spokane area. Do we have an actual chain of command sort of deal? Staff positions? Apparently I also have to join up with the 1st ID. Someone gave me instructions how to do this before...

Or you can join the 82nd AB as a glider rider with the 325th. Same gear as the regular infantry. Let me know. We could use more bodies in the 82nd.

Well I would step up but I am pretty new to everything that is going on. What exactly does the GI leader need to know/do?

Have Jimmy and Blake gone over to the 82nd yet, officially? In order to gain rank and such you have to be part of an actual unit right? Just my humble opinion, but the GIs in Spokane should be under one unit to keep things simple.

I agree. The new GI's should go with doc to the 82nd AB. Both Blake and Jimmy also are interested in putting together an AB kit for the 82nd. Red, do the foot infantry thing and go as glider rider (likely Jimmy and Blake will do the same).
For insurance reasons you should be in either my unit or in Doc's.

For the time being I can step up to the plate and take charge of the US side if that is cool with everyone. We can have a vote at our next meeting if you all would like.

You, Jimmy or Blake. You three have the most experience, but Jimmy and Blake are just leg infantry while your "elite"

I concur. I have no problem with Doc being in charge. Jimmy and Blake should take NCO spots in my opinion also.
If Jimmy and Blake agree to go 82nd as glider riders and eventually full airborne, I will do the same. It will take some time getting my airborne uniform, but I will get the leg infantry impression shaped up first since I am almost all there. I've already got a 82nd patch, just need the "airborne" scroll for it. The one I have is black, think it needs to be blue?

Good plan Mike. Leg infantry impression first.

The actual WWII patch was all in one. not two piece. At The Front carriers them. I need to order a few more, if you like I can order some for you too. Or, go with no patch that way you can jump from 82 to 1st ID and not have to worry about it.

That's just too easy! I like the patches. I am going to have to think up some sort of quick detach system or something. LOL.

get those little button things that they use on the pockets of the officer's alphas. i have an officers jacket that used them for the patch, one was for the CBI and the AAC patch. id say put about 4 or 5 on your jacket in a spot that fits both patches and do the same for the patches. just an idea.
