I am only imagining it as a place for us to advertise what we are doing locally, who we are, why we do it, etc. A portal to our units, local reenactors and our forum.
It should link people to this forum (lets just keep this one and not create another). Provide an email contact to our "leader" An events area to advertise what we are doing locally An about area to show casual readers who we are and what we do An area with some recent photos Links to the units that we are in etc
As for thousands of photos, lets keep it simple. I can supply a few good photos for the site, just put some temporary ones on the mockup. Can the site be done for free?
As for a name I think we decided on these: "Inland Northwest WW2 Living History Group" or in short just "WW2 Living History Group"

yeah we decided a while back to make it WWII specific so that we stay focused, although some preferred the more general name in order to possibly include other erras, Vietnam for example.

So it has been decided that the name of this new club is Inland Northwest ww2 living history group?
I don't know if you looked at the current mock up but it already has everything you mentioned Klaus. I must be damn good, haha. Maybe this weekend if we meet up at 7 mile we can discuss the website in greater detail.
The hosting site i'm using now is free but it does have a limit on how much use it can handle. So if Tons of people start going to it then we will most likely have to upgrade to a premium status. Otherwise it is totally free. The domain name bothers me but that is just a pet peeve of mine to have the '.webs.com' after the name. If it is okay with you then I won't bother getting a dedicated domain name.
I will get a beta version of the Inland northwest ww2 living history group up by saturday.
Also I would like you guys to apply on the mock website. I made an application that's different from the registration. So if you could please go apply to the 101st so i can see what happens i would be very greatful!

I'm shortening the domain name to exclude WW2. It looks bulky and to scrabbled as the www.INWW2LHG.webs.com. So now it is just www.INLHG.webs.com. If you prefer it with the ww2 then i can revert it back. The site title will say "Inland Northwest WW2 Living Historical Group" no matter what the domain name is though.
