Nick mentioned something about a switch from the 1 ID to 82nd glider troops. Just wondering if this idea has advanced at all?

Jimmy talked about making the switch, I don't know about Blake. It would be nice if we all were in the same unit together.

Would make things a bit easier, wouldn't it? Too bad you guys weren't 101st, we could do the Easy Company 506th deal.

Jimmy, Nick, since you guys are the only ones attached to the 1st ID, I need to know which direction to go to stay uniform. Are you guys also doing the 82nd Airborne gig, staying with 1si ID or going with both? Need to know if I need to budget out for a jump uniform or just stick with HBTs and wools.

My recommendation is to stick with the 1st ID role. That way you can go with either group. The October AB uniform only is a total fluke that has never happened before because the requirements for it are coming from outside the reenactment community.

Its a simple patch switch to go to 82nd glider rider, I am more concerned on whether or not I need to buy a jump uniform. I may have misunderstood what Jimmy and Blake were doing.

They both attended two event this year as glider riders already, and are just considering adding a jump uniform to impression. So yeah, ground pounder as a first impression is a good thing and is cheaper.

Ah, okay. I got the idea they were going airborne all the way. Good deal.

Get your wools and don't put any patches on. That way you can go from 1st ID to 82ND Glider with no problem. It was very common to not have patches on the uniform.
