Sean, make sure they're actually impact resistant goggles. SA has the proper ANSI code listed on their site to be sure.

My buddy at work has airsoft gear, I can borrow his goggles. Another damned airborne event. They better not expect me to cut off my 1st ID patch. It took me forever to sew it on.

Okay everyone, the date is soon to be here and hopefully all who plan on attending were able to register in time. At the last count there would be five of us carpooling together correct? I spoked to adamcoman and he and a friend will be going also. The already have a ride. So that will be seven total going. What a greatturn out for the Spokane area!

I will be riding with Otto. We have room if you and/or Blake would like to join us.
Jimmy will also be driving and I am sure would like the company as well. He will be towing the Jeep.

It went well. I heard something like a hundred people total showed up. Difficult to tell, never saw everyone together at once. A lot of the participants were pretty farb on the allied side. Several guys had these bizarre colored jump uniforms that were beige yellow. The organizers looked good and put together some cool stuff. We jumped out of a moving van that had a C-47 door mockup on the back, with static lines and everything. They had some big speakers in it that blasted prop noise and the driver simulated taxiing and takeoff.
We jumped in the middle of the night, I went out first as a pathfinder and sat around in the middle of a field while the germans fired flares. There were objectives and rally points and maps, that part was elaborate. My squad had one very brief night engagement, getting flanked and wiped out instantly. I couldn't see anything due to the obnoxious goggle requirement. The rest of the day there a few battles and a lot of waiting around. That was an issue, too much trying to plan and too little running around.
The germans had some really good emplacements built up, there was even a Flak 38 that the Brits knocked out. Only saw it in the dark, but I think it looked good. The blank fire at night and the flares were exciting, and jumping out of the truck was much better than I thought it would be. And Klaus shot me in the back with his new airsoft.

Goggles would definitely be a bear at night. I am definitely going to separate my airsoft and reenacting, I don't really like mixing the two for that reason. When will some pics and vids be up?
