June 6? Wow, that is almost doable...let me start scheming. Will take my trailer over...we don't have to sleep in the field, do we? Was planning on putting in for the first week of June off from work anyhow to get some house work done. It would be cool to cap the week off with something like this. Will keep you informed.
With the 272nd going, would the summer uniform that I'd plan to pick up work?

The plan is to leave friday morning and be back Sunday evening. NO TRAILER, this is a 24 hour living history event!!! You will be billited in period fashion, Allied or German tents depending upon what side you join. The HBT is not period for D-Day in Normandy. You might consider postponing getting a uniform just yet, and use this as your opportunity to try everything out first. And you don't have to join the German side, playing GI is great too!!! June 6? Redeye, Battlesim always has rentals. So you could see about renting a uniform or going as Partisan er something.

The new 82nd AB pathfinder unit my friends and me are starting is not ready yeath , otherwise we would think about going to the event.

No trailers, this sucks, was going to make it a family outing. What type of uniform would be needed for this event?
Is this the combo airsoft/reenacting gig?

Combo, yes. Depends upon what side you want to join. You can be American AB or US Glider with US Infantry garb, British airborne, German Heer, French Partisan, Fallschirmjaeger, and more.
Definitely not a family outing. How old is the boy now?

Alex is definitely old enough to keep up. He and I were involved in a brutal ten hour airsoft op just a couple of weekends ago in which at least 8 hours were almost nonstop firefights.
I think we'll be passing on this one.
