Is anyone planning on going to see this? I might see it Christmas day. It sounds pretty good. Your thoughts? Ian

I was thinking about seeing it, but figured he would just kill hitler, end the war, and bring all the dead civilians back to life and live a happy and long life with his wife and kids.
Sweet watch. Are they hard to get?

No way I am going to drop $8 on a Tom Cruise flick, just can't take this clown serious. I will wait till it comes out on DVD then rent it.
It bothers me that a P-40E is making a pass over them and they're just standing there. ROFL.

About the P40, the Germans looking ahead and chances are they won't hear the P40 until it passes. I am assuming thats the plane that blows off his fingers and causes him to loose an eye?

Thing of it is the P-40 would have strafed their butts by the time this shot was taken...well, hypothetically. Its a cool shot regardless, I love P-40s.

HOLY nuts, I hadn't noticed that. What a funny picture. Maybe they are surrendering, but who on earth would surrender with a tank?

LOL, Sean...not much a tank can do against a fighter/bomber. Under closer examination, it looks as tho the P-40 may have a 100lb bomb under its belly. That too should have already been released, but either way its gonna mess some German's day up.
I do like how the tanks are depicted. Looks like an American M41 or M47/48 chassis with the deck, glacis plate and turret of a Pzkw III or IV. They must have run out of the M24 chassis that you always saw in the older WW2 movies, which would have worked better because of the size and the narrower treads. Treads that wide didn't appear until the Tiger and Panther tanks were introduced.

I thought they looked wrong too, but couldn't figure out were they came from.

The tank could be a T55 , the low chassis profile makes me think it is , i know the Russians converted a bunch of T55s to look like Tiger tanks for a movie they made about the Battle of Kursk 4 years ago. On the movie the P40s make a low pass to check out the German column , then they make the strafing run that destroys most of the vehicles and injures Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg , that photo is from that scene. Oh about the watch , you can find them from time to time , i found mine on an antique shop. Here's another photo from the movie a real wartime BF109 and a Spanish CASA109 , this are the 2 fighters that fly cover for Hitlers JU52 in the movie

The road wheels are all wrong for a T-55, which are much larger with no return rollers. I would almost bet money they're from the M47/48 family.
